Julie Nelson
Latimer Church Charity Trustee

Julie is a retired Head of School at an F.E. college, where she was responsible for 1,400 students and their English language (ESOL) courses. She now olunteers part time for a mission organisation and for Wycombe Refugee Partnership.

Julie had a profound conversion experience at the age of 13 being baptised shortly afterwards and also baptised in the Spirit. Graham and Julie married when they were undergraduates, moving back to Beaconsfield after university. In her 20s Julie was greatly impacted by reading Hudson Taylor’s biography and felt called to go to unreached people with the gospel.

In 2010, after their 4 children had gone to university, they left their careers and went with church planting teamsto Tajikistan and later to Istanbul. Julie loves Jesus and his church and is passionate about seeing people from all cultures worshipping him. She likes to encourage others and help others, especially those on the margins to know his love more.

They returned to the UK in February 2020 and a few months later started attending Latimer Church. Julie feels excited about all that God has for Latimer Church and felt God wanted her to focus on serving the church at this time and to volunteer to serve as a trustee.
