Lent at Latimer Church

We invited people to join us in marking Lent through subscribing to IJM’s (International Justice Mission) Lent series to help make #SlaveFree normal.

IJM is inviting us to use Lent to make changes in the way we think and act to help make #SlaveFree normal. You can sign-up online and each week you’ll receive a short film with tips on how to shop consciously, info on the issue, inspirational stories of rescue and the inside track on which brands are taking action to stop slavery. You’ll also receive an online booklet as well as regular WhatsApp updates with tips to inspire you along the way.

In addition to this, IJM are asking us to choose to give up one product which is likely to have slavery in its supply chain for the 40 days of Lent. What will you choose? Then if you would like, you can donate the money you would have spent on the products during the 40-days of Lent.

On Thursday evenings starting 18th February, at 9pm – 9.30pm there will be an opportunity to watch and discuss the video together. The Zoom meeting passwords are on our Facebook group or email hello@latimerchurch.org for details.

Coffee with Chris

If you find yourself wanting to have a chat, ask a question, or would love to pray with someone than Chris will be making himself available on Mondays from 12.30pm-1pm.  If you would like to take this opportunity to have a coffee with Chris then you can book a slot through Churchsuite calendar.

Anchored in prayer

25 hours starting our year in prayer
