Prayer weekend 1-3 January 2022

As we head into 2022, we want to set apart a couple days to pray in the new year together.  Now, more than ever, we want to press into the Lord and prepare our hearts for what God has in store for us individually and collectively as we lean forward into 2022.

As we dedicate this New Year to the Lord, we are inviting the church into 48-hours of continual, round-the-clock prayer.  We can’t think of a better way to begin the year together.

We are encouraging everyone to choose an one-hour time slot during these dedicated prayer days to seek the Lord. You can sign up for a time here.  It’s okay if more than one person signs up for any given hour, and we hope that we can fill in every time slot, so we know someone is praying for our church and community around the clock during these two days of prayer.  Please note this is not an actual physical or virtual prayer room – but it is a means of booking a slot to say you’ll commit to pray during this time.

In addition to signing up for an hour of prayer, we will be offering the following ways to gather together for prayer:

1. We will kick off our 48-hour prayer journey with an online prayer meeting on Zoom on New Year’s Day from 7.30-8.30pm.

2. On Sunday morning, 2nd of January, we are meeting together in our community groups.  We would encourage every community group to gather and spend an hour in prayer together.  We won’t have any of our normal service elements during this time, we are simply dedicating the time to praying with one another.  If you aren’t in a community group yet, please invite a few friends to gather in your home Sunday morning to pray.

3. And finally we will wrap up our prayer journey with a gathered prayer service at St Peter’s Loudwater on 3rd of January at 7.45-9.00pm. This will be the final hour of our dedicated prayer days.
